Trident 9440

I have a Trident 9440 driver, on a 486, 120 mhz, non pentium computer. I recently upgraded from windows 3.1 to windows 98. I am currently running on 16 colors. I have tried to update the driver, but it keeps asking for an *.inf file. I want to run 256 color, but it won't let me. What am I missing, or what did I do wrong?

I don't mean to get your hopes up Michelle. I don't have an answer for you. Yet ! Im currently experiencing the same difficulties, and am searching for a solution. As soon as I have one, I'll post it here, for you.
