Question NT driver for XJ1560 PCMCIA modem

I have a user with a NEC VERSA 6230 Notebook with a USR XJ1560 modem. The system will recognize the modem but not allow it to work. Is this because it is running NT 4.O sp4? Any info is appreciated. The modem appears in Control Panel/Modems but under Control Panel/PC Card (PCMCIA) it appears with a red X over its icon. HELP Thanks.

That means that the PCMCIA port is disabled or does not have the drivers installed. You can try enabling the port, if that doesn't work, get the PCMCIA software from NEC.
