Want 24 bit display not 256 colors

Hi,
I have an ATI VGA Wonder adapter in my Pentium 133. It is presently displaying 256 colors, but I want to change it to 24 bit. When I change the display setting, I get a message telling me the adapter is wrong.

Does anyone know if there is a driver I can get that will allow me to have 24 bit color?
(I'm using a generic SVGA monitor.)
