Post ALG2302 Problems+Solution

Okay, I KNOW there are quite a few people out there who are having trouble with Avance Logic's ALG2302 cards. To be frank, these cards are a waste of time and money. BUT I know there are people who have payed for them. Luckily(unluckily)), someone gave me mine. First, to solve the major 16 color issue in Windows 95/98 download Avance's latest drivers from their website. They do work... to an extent. However, the card more than likely will STILL give you plenty of trouble when you attempt to run some Direct-X based games. Why, I don't know. Some work, some don't. It's all about luck. Anyway, to solve this problem download SciTech's Display Doctor from www.scitech.com, and it will fix all of ALG2302's problems... well, excluding ONE tiny one. Sometimes, true color mode will screw your Window colors. But luckily, the Display Doctor lets you switch between Avance's drivers and the Display Doctor's driver easily enough.
