HELP - New USB Cam WONT WORK

I was sold a Compaq YC76 USB Cam, along with Video Phone Disk, and told it would work on my IBM clone, only i would have to use CU-See-Me software (Im on aol). I cant get it to work with ANY software - even the Video Phone. It says Video Not Available. Ive looked for drivers, etc (whatever the hell they are)and all i can see is that they are supposed to be included in the VDPhone. NOT>Ive even checked all the connections thru the USB and up to the side. (totally illiterate so if you are kind enuf to reply, please be Very Specific and Elementary)

Can ANYONE help me find what i need - i am trying to use it on HearMe, Net Meeting, CU-etc. I dont have a clue!!!!!!!!! I cant even get the cam to show up under control panel but when i manually install it it says windows is adding the right drivers. NOPE!
Im using Windows 95.
