Desperately seeking driver Compaq VGA, 1994

It's pretty sucky, I know, it's old. But, it's what I have, an old 1994 Compaq VGA Model 470AP. I'm bummed, can't do 256 colors, other programs say "no go,need 256 colors..." any ideas where to find appropriate driver? Misty

I would suggest that you try some other Windows drivers for other monitors e.g. compag or IBM. I use an IBM 8515 driver for a compaq 472P monitor well.
