I need a driver for a 14.4 modem found in the Compaq Presario 7170

You should find this driver on your restore CD that came with your desktop.

If you do not have one, call Compaq at 1-800-841-2761 (the QuickRestore Utility dept. for Presario).

You can also contact tech support to see if they can give you a specific Softpaq # that you could download off their website. Their number is 1-800-OK-COMPAQ - U.S. and Canada.
