Post Please read before posting anything!

1. Compaq does not support NT/W2K on ANY Presario. (that doesn't mean it won't work. Look in device manager (Right click my computer, properties, then device manager) and make notes on the video card manufacturer, the sound card and anything else you've added that might cause problems. GET THE DRIVERS FOR NT from the manufacturers website BEFORE installing NT/W2K as your modem WILL NOT WORK in NT or W2K. (it's a custom virtual com port driver thing unique to a presario, it's not available seperately)

2. Most compaq drivers for win98/95 ARE available on the compaq web page, you may just have to look a bit harder.
3. This site (windrivers.com) is by far the best place to get drivers in one go. USE IT!

4. I'll try to help if I can, but please read the above, and try to keep it near the top please!

Cool

1. Windrivers is your best shot
2. Check out www.driverguide.com for others that have already been there done that. Site has helped me a great deal. Rebuilding a Compaq notebook is a pain in the... well you know where. The Compaq site is virtually worthless.
