Visiontek 32MB DDR GTS + Relisys's TL500A LCD = Wasted?? Help!

I recently got my 15 inch flat panel monitor from Relisys and today my video card from Visiontek arrived this afternoon. Everything was fine with the monitor when my old GeForce 2 MX 32mb from Creative until I took out the MX and installed my Vtek GTS DDR in. My windows booted, I was able to play games, view, surf etc. Only thing is that I couldn't turn off my monitor and it had some strange strange glares/waving sort of picture just after I turned off my computer.

So I checked the Device Manager and in the monitors' setting I found "Default monitor" instead of Relisys's. So I thought I needed a driver for the GTS to be able to work with the LCD. Funny thing is that I coudln't find no drivers for my TL500A and everything seemed to be fine when I reinstalled my MX back again. The OS detected the monitor, the weird glare thingy went away, and I was able to turn off the monitor like used to.

What's wrong with that? V-Tek and Relisys just don't get along or what. I've tried to remove the old drivers and reinstalled everything I could to make it work, but nothing worked so far. I'm thinking maybe it's because I need to let the V-tek GTS to realize the monitor? But how? V-tek doesn't even have a freaking home page! Arghhhh! Someone help me! Thanks lotZ!

Alright, I'll bite. is the Relisys LCD pure digital or an analog to digital type display. It sure sounds like the Creative card has better support for it than the Vtek GTS. After you uninstalled the MX card did you purge the MX drivers before you installed the Visiontek Drivers. If not that could be a cause for concern. Also you had mentioned that when you installed the GTS the monitor was detected as standard monitor type, did you reinstall the TL500A drivers?
Thats really all I can think of right now.

I believe the Relisys is an analog not a digital. Not that I didn't want to install the drivers, but I couldn't find one anywhere... I've tried Relisys's driver page but bad luck. What do you mean by 'purge?' I'm currently using Detenator 12.90 as my video card driver.

How do I make sure that the drivers for my MX is clean?

Oh yeah btw, the MX automanically detects the monitor but the GTS doesn't. Weird.

Errr... By "clean" meaning completely uninstalled or removed from my computer. Heh

If you are not using the creative drivers and are using Nvidia referance drivers that is O.K. Make sure that your GTS card has flat panel (LCD) support. Most do, But I have run into a few installs where you had to literally ram the Monitors INF down windows throat. If the MX detects the proper monitor inf than you must have the .inf for the relisys lurking in your computer somewhere. After installing the GTS card and making sure the drivers are O.K. than do a search on your computer for relisys.inf or something like that just to see what windows finds. If you do find an .INF for relisys open it with note pad and look what models are listed. I didn't find your model listed in win2K but that doesn't meen your O.S doesn't have it. Another thing you can check out to is the Fujitsu sight for drivers. They made the panel for Relisys. Teco is the parent company for relisys http://www.teco-info.co.uk/index.html
looks like the TL520A is the same as the TL500A the main difference being the 520A axis tilts horizontal or vertical.

One more problem! I just don't know why I still can't shut off the LCD after my computer's shut down. I get these colorful waves (goes white and dark) and LCD then'll stay on and won't be able to turn it off unless I unplug the powercore. Wassup with that? Dang, thought everything was fine until I was trying to shut my cpu off sigh. Well, any ideas? Maybe it's the v-sync/h-sync settings? But how do I change them so the LCD acknowledges it and shuts off the right way? Thanks

How vert and horizontal is output to your monitor depends on the vid card, check out www.geforcefaq.com perhaps you may find something there relating to your dilemma could be as easy as a vidcard bios update.
