i installed windows 98se on my gateway g6-300 and none of my drivers work nor modem.
i have no master restore cd. used windows98cd
drivers at gateway.com were no help.
i installed the right ones but still nothing s working.i have never had trouble with any other pc but gateway? how do i get these working???????
If you're sure you installed the right drivers as you say, it should work.
Give it a try once again and if it wouldn't work, you need to obtain the original Recovery CD. Probably you will have to contact Gateway to get it.

Nothing is working? First go into the bios and make sure it has enabled plug and pray OS.Then try doing a detect new hardware. then go to device manager and find all the devices that are present but have a problem and list them here.Also, don't you mean the g6-3000?
