Hi..
Iam trying to run a v3 3000 agp in win 2k
i have downloaded the lateist drivers which are
v3-w2k-1.03.00.exe @ 6.5mb
i install them.. all the desktop resolutions work but when it comes to playing games in opengl iam getting somthing like 3 - 4 fps
when i should be getting around 50 - 60.
the game i mostly play is Counterstrike but iam getting the same in Unreal and Unreal Tornement

My 3500 runs fine under 2K, as did the 3000 TV-out I used to have. It might sound stupid, but does it work with 2K's native support? Else try a newer version of DirectX. Really need to know a bit more about your system (mobo etc) to give a proper answer.

the native drivers dont support open gl so i cant run CS or anything useing that
it used to be ok on these drivers but when i install them now it's just ****e fps

I'm also using a Voodoo3 AGP with Win2K and although I have not checked out the FPS rates I can play without a hitch and the display is more than acceptable.
I can't test this right now, but are you certain that the FPS count is accurate?
Is gameplay to your satisfaction?
I'll post more details about my own setup when I get home this evening.

I have not had time yet to test the framerate on my own system, but the WinDrivers main page had this which may help you.

Adept's right if you had a frame rate of 3ps it'd look like it was under a strobe light. Somethings not telling you the truth.
-
What are you using to test your framerates? Some external counters can screw with the display, grinding the system to a halt like you're describing.

These guys are right, you would go crazy with 3fps! I have the same drivers for my Voodoo3 and run opengl in Counterstrike, at 800x600 resolution. My fps last time I looked was somewhere around 90fps. (mostly my processor), if you are really getting low frames, try a lower res., or run in D3D mode then compare your FPS, if thats no help, try reistalling your drivers, or check out your system to see if there is a problem somewhere else. I'm getting a Geforce3 Ti500 Xtasy tomorrow!@!@!@! YaY!
