Help with DirectX 8, 3D Prophet II Pro, and ABit KT7A-RAID
Here's the problem...DirectX 8 seems to give me problems with my Hercules 3D Prophet II Pro Graphics Card. Direct3D simply cannot work using hardware acceleration and AGP Texturing doesn't seem to work, hence, I can't get games that work with Direct3D to work! I used the DxDiag utility and here are the graphic card results:

Sorry for all that garbage...anyway WTF?! Why does it think I have only 1.5 MB of display mem? I have 64 MB on the board. Also the drivers I am using currently are nVIDIA's reference drivers, not the Hercules drivers, and the reference drivers ARE WHQL certified, even though DxDiag doesn't think so.
The problem my card has with my mobo is that it is not recognized when I start booting. The problem seems to be solved when my computer beeps telling me I have no graphics card and I reset it. Also, I have installed the VIA 4in1 drivers and have installed the AGP VxD in turbo mode (the latest drivers, not the BETA).
Mainly, it's DirectX that's really pissing me off! :mad:
Also, OpenGL works fine. I use that instead of Direct3D in games that allow me to choose, But some games won't work otherwise (e.g. Madden 2001) because of it's dependence on Direct3D.
