missing files

can any one tell how to restore missing line of code like driver when you do not know the source basicly it is like this some pice of code fails to load or windows can find a driver then when you boot back up it is asking for this line iof code but you do not know where it came from i have reint\stalled windows on top of it self but recently this is causeing more problems windows loads duplicate drivers and that causes the system to crash

Don't play with regedit unless you know what you are doing!!!!!

Go to your device manager (right-click MyComputer>Properties) and see what it tells you. Uninstall any problem devices and let windows re-install. You maybe need your install disk(s)
