MS DOS Compatibility Mode HDD
Problem solved Changed the settings on the Maxtor drive to Cable Select.
I purchased a Maxtor 6.8 GB 3.5" DIAMONDMAX EIDE Hard Drive Model # 90680D4-04-02-11-V418E7HA-2V02
