The time in the system tray is off as the day goes on. I can reset it in the morning and by noon the time will show 11:30. Has anyone seen anything like this?

only with a dodgy CMOS battery how old is the puter?
Dodgy battery is 98% likely, but there are other things that can cause it. Are you allowing the system to go into sleep mode? Some of them don't track time properly in sleep mode.
That's what I thought but the time in the bios is correct.
Have you thought about using an atomic clock program to sycronize your clock? I know you can download some freeware versions at your favorite download site.
IVE SEEN A COUPLE CASES WHERE MICROSOFT OUTLOOK CAUSED THIS EXACT ISSUE, NOT SURE WHAT THE FIX IS THOUGH, THIS HAPPENED ON A COUPLE MACHINES I DO WORK ON , AND THEY BOTH LEFT OUTLOOK OPEN ALL DAY, NOT SURE IF THIS IS YOUR CASE BUT MIGHT HELP.

Are you on a network? novell networks quite often will synchronize ALL the clocks on the network to protect the integrity of the DNS tree.
