ITS NOT EVEN MONDAY!
I just have to share this with you guys... A guy just walks into my office, and I have a few of our database machines booted and running. We have just upgraded the monitors to 17" though, and it gets really hot in here when they are all on, so I had them turned off. (plus I can talk about how energy conscious I am when the boss is around... TE HE)
Anyway, he says: "Hey, are these broken?"
"No, just go ahead and turn the monitors on, they are all ready to go..."
Next thing I hear is that all too familiar POST beep...
"YOU JUST RE-BOOTED the machine!"
Why is this kind of task SO DIFFICULT?
I am still laughing at the whole thing. I just told him that he was no longer able to touch any of my machines... (I think he thought is was pretty funny too. Albeit, I know he was rather embarrassed)

I was on site in a server room -- a very narrow server room, working on a netware box. On the other side of the room was an AS400. I bent over to reboot the netware server and hit the power switch on the AS400 with my a$$. OOPS!
Killed the hdd's! Luckily, the customer had done the same thing himself, so he wasn't real mad ( We had to pay for the drives and restore the data, though... )
