At home I use a crusty old mini-tower case for a door stop. It used to belong to my P75.
Is that all? I work here in the east coast, and yes, I used to work out at Kennedy Space Center. Well let me tell ya, I got a service call and was almost scared to go do it.
On the report it was written up as "Coffee tray will not retract" I imediatly called the help desk and asked, "is this a joke" the help desk said, "no, we have to type the problem in exactly as it is described to us".
I then replied "May I please have the supervisors name of this person that operates this computer?" The gave me the name, I grabbed a cdrom drive, and headed out.
Alas, I get there, and theres the user explaining to his boss that his "coffee tray doesnt eject". You shoulda heard the words comming outa this bosses mouth!
I made a low cough to announce my presence, the boss told the guy to take the day off without pay. The boss then said to repair the computer, make sure nothing else was fried, and then remove the computer and send to storage.
I repair'd the computer, informed boss sorry, cant remove, heres number to call to have computer removed. Needless to say, that person now does everything by typing the old fashiond way, and probably still does to this day...
Greasey.....
What did you do with the broken drive?
I think it would be hilarious to take something like that and turn it around by keeping it to use as a cupholder... just the thing that broke it.
