Take the Laplink challenge / hassle

I cant give much info but well erm..
LAPLINK caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0187:bff9dfff.

When run a second time it will not crash?? arrrgh... Anyone got any bright ideas

Running on a netvista A20 and a Diamond supramax 56K USB. Windows 98.

Laplink version IN 2.0a?

Any ideas including alternate software considered. It's in use by freinds of mine to connect via modem to another PC. I don't think I can use VNC for that cos you cant dial modem numbers can you?
