with that you can afford a decent 19" monitor. I recommend the sony models. You cant go wrong with those.

hey its me again!
Sorry, I would like a 19" moniter.
I like my 19" Viewsonic PS790

I might rock, but I am not made of stone!
NEC and Sony are the best in my opinion. Although the wires in the trinitron tubes drive me nuts, most people never even notice they are there.

I agree with Mayhem, NEC and Sony. But why did you have to mention the lines on the Trinitron, it took months to get used to them. Now I have to start all over. https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2000/09/1.gif
What lines can u see on a sony?
They are real fine horizontal lines. It's the way the Trinitron CRT's are manufactured. Evidently there are fine wires embedded between the phosphor and the screen. They are also used in some NEC monitors.
Sorry, didn't mean to screww you up.

A. For the one with Lines on his screen:
They are called "horizontal damper wire shadows" - and the reason is clear, Trintron Based tubes uses them to "Hold up" the screen. I find it VERY annoying i love my LG Flatron 795FD Screen (Gr8 picture, Supreme Bandwidth, low price)
B. for the on who wants to buy:
Buy the LG Flatron 795FD 17"
Or IIyama 17"
Or Eizo Nano 19" (Very Expnsive, but believe me worth the money...)
Up The IRONS!
