what do you mean by "forcing text to load graphics?" is there any kind of example you can give?
I think what he means is that he wants the text of the web page to load and be viewable before the graphics start to download. I do not believe this is settable in either 4 or 5, but I know it's an option in Nyetscape versions 2.0 and up (no, that's not a typo <g>)

You know what might work... go to options and select show image placeholders...or something like that it's in the properties. This way you can stop the page in the middle of downloading and all the text should be there and images should just have placeholders.... I don't have this problem...DSL ROCKS... https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2000/09/1.gif https://forums.windrivers.com/images.../2000/09/1.gif ha,ha.
Try that it might work. I don't know if IE4.0 has this option but i know 5.0 does..
i know that there is part of "html code" that allows you to preload your graphics...maybe you can tinker w/ that a bit
I think he means when certain sites won't show any information until the entire site has been downloaded. For example, after the header (containing title, banner ad, etc.) at Windrivers comes in, none of the rest of the page will come in until the whole page can appear at once.
This only occurs at certain sites, and I think that it's a html tag in the page or something. Then again, maybe it's Cascading Style Sheets or something else like that which I am not familiar with. If that's what he's talking about, I don't know any solution
Well, the fro got it right... That's what I was refering to... well thanks for all the help guys...
