Microstar 6330 won't boot

I just bought an AMD 750 barebones on eBay and can not get it to boot.It is a Microstar 6330 KT7 Pro board , AMD 750 CPU , Micron PC133 memory and a Genica case w/ a 250 watt supply.Nothing is installed on the board except memory and a pci video card , both known good.The switch tests ok and the power supply will run when disconnected from the board and jumpered green to black.The CPU is installed properly and the fan is connected to the board.I have tried other memory , including some PC 100 and have tried a couple of PCI video cards , have also tried to start it w/ no cards at all.I've cleared the CMOS with the jumper and by removing the battery and shorting the terminals.What happens is ...nothing.... power supply will not show any signs of life at all when board is connected to it.I suspect the board or CPU are dead , but thought I'd ask for any other suggestions before I give up ....

before you give up entirely, try the reset switch.

my new pc would not boot, it was a last desperate act before throwing it all out the nearest window.

make sure all jumpers are set up as they should be. I had one duron MB in which the jumper was set to BIOS update (default). You had to switch the jumper before the thing would boot. There was on line on the bottom of the manual saying that. :) Of course I missed it. :) If all the jumpers are where they should be then you may have a dead MB. Did you try booting the MB out of the case? Without RAM? VC?

Thanks for the replies , but still no go .Mr. Myagi , I hadn't thought of the reset switch , but that wasn't it and trinitro , I had tried everything except leaving the RAM out , but no go there either.I guess its time for the big stick treatment.I don't have a lot of experience with this type of processor , I do know they are fussy about the power supply and an AMD approved supply is the way to go , but is it a necessity for them to even start ? I don't find this supply listed by AMD so I'm wondering if that is the problem .Seems like it should at least start , even if it didn't perform properly.

Maybe a faulty power switch, try to short out the 2-3 pins on the board that the power button connects to with a screwdriver, that will start it the same way that the button does

I have already done a continuity test on the switch and it works fine .I still have doubts about the power supply though , it seems to me it should start the board with nothing else on it even though it is only 250 watt , or is this an issue with the starting load being more than these smaller supplys can handle ?? AMD isn't very specific about this , at least not where I have looked.
