Half life & 2000 & XP rc1

I will probably get chewed on this one but here goes.Halflife runs on win2000 correct? Is there a patch though as I remember that I did not need a 2000 patch....Been a while though and don't have a 2000 machine here to check.But I do have RC1 and it tells me that this program will not run on this version of windows.The HL patch is X.XX.XX.7.Just curious as there may be somebody has seen this.Also FYI QIII arena runs great and also tribes so far. <IMG SRC="smilies/confused.gif" border="0">
