I need soemthing with plenty of space, and 2-3 case fans.
3+ bays
It dosen't need a power supply I have that picked out already.
Would possibly like to modd it up, so osmething that would eb easy to paint and cut up if possible.

well what are you looking for?
Pretty much there all the same. But it matters what you want.
Want one to add lots of fans for overclocking?
Want one that looks pretty?
Want one that cools the system?
Want one that has lots of watts?
Matters what your looking for. Limited on money etc..
I have a 4 bay 1 floppy bay, mid size aluminum tower. Im using aluminum because aluminum conducts heat. I also have 9 system fans in side for cooling. This case comes wiht a 350 watt supply. Nice case but it was $280.
So look around ask yourself what you want.
The aluminum cases are pretty cool... and you can't argue with the fact that the aluminum will keep the computer cooler ( and cool is important when you are talking about an Athlon ). Check out the aluminum case in www.thinkgeek.com , IMO it's a pretty sweet case. Might not be large enough though.

always go for something bigger than you need, cause you will run out of space if you don't plan ahead (bought a case 3 months ago and already have it filled, now i need a bigger case!!) plus if you have a bigger case than you need you can do some mods on it, like putting window kits and lights and stuff like that, the possibilities are endless!!!!
I just ordered an Antec SX840...lots of fan slots, 3 drive bays, and it was only $109. I think one company is selling a version with no power supply. Oh yeah and it has 4 case fans, plus a fan slot for the hard drives. I have yet to receive it but I saw the SX830 (Same except a 300w power supply) at CompUSA and it looks like a solid case!
I'm also making a 1.4.
But If you have money falling out of your a$$ then get a Lian Li aluminum case!
thanks for the suggestions.
I was planning on having maybe up to 3 hard drives, so i want plenty of space for air flow around them. 7200 drives tend to get hot.
I need atleast 3 drive bays, but 4 is optimal.
I won't be over clocking at all, but i am going to build the machine like i am, i figure the more cooling the better.
I would like to put a window and some lighting at some point, but not in the near future.
I was thinking of getting this case.
it has about everything i need, plenty of space, but I jsut want to be sure i get the right thing.
A lian-li would be great, but for the price and not having a power supply, i rather not.
thanks again.
Hey DANIMAL, that link is not working.Quote:

I love Nikao cases it is designed to be P4 ready, so it is meant to keep machine cool, fan slot in front, and in back, tool-less entry (thumbscrews) i run an Athlon 900 in here because my old case got too hot, and this thing runs like a dream machine...
Doh forgot the website www.nikao.net I have the MT2000Grey and its a cooling monster..
