Just built a new system and now I am trying to load up ms office lotus etc. I get an error "unable to write to disk in drive c
Here is the configuration:
abit k7a mobo
amd 1.3ghz
sound blaster live sound card
creative labs annihilator video card
sony dvd
and a cdrw
any help would be great I want to try and get this out of here tonight!!
and a western digital 20 gb caviar hard drive sorry about that
Office or lotus? You said both.
Old version? New Version?
If your getting can't write to drive C: thats a bad sign. YOu can try doing a scandisk and through sector check to make sure your drive is working alright. Also its a low possibility but your drive could be locked somehow. I've seen it RARELY before. You just run "lock c:" at a prompt. It will ask if your sure you want to give FULL access to the system and you of course would answer "YES".
