Registry Errors?!?!?!?!

I wiped out a drive and installed WIN 98se. I keep getting registy errors while setting up the system. I am not sure what can be causing this problem. I once again wiped it out, and same problem. They happen at different time, Once installed sound drivers, and once when half way finished installing Office 2k. I belive i have a bad peice of hardware but what could it be? Any help would be appreicated.

Sounds like there's a good chance you've got a bad piece of RAM (or, BIOS settings that are too fast for the RAM you have).

try scanreg /fix at a dos prompt, but it's prob. your mem.
