Equipment suggestions for AutoCad 2000
Let's see what advice everyone can give. AutoDesk doesn't make equipment recommendations, and I just talk to the "Technical" person at a local reseller. My cat could have told me more, and she gave me an attitude like I was the dumb one!!!
She said that I need a PII 233, but should spend the extra money and get a 300/400, or better yet a PII 500. Anyone have one laying around? Just Kidding
OK, on to the question. I have a customer that is considering buying AutoCad 2000 or AutoCad 2000i. Either way it would be the Mechanical version. AutoDesks system req's are pretty lame. Anyone have suggestions as to the best equipment (video card, etc) to put in this thing? How about video cards to stay away from? How about OS? Is Windows NT still the best OS to use, or is Win2K better?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
