ADSL between 2 Offices?
I've got a headache of a question. Can you use ADSL to connect 2 remote offices via VPN?Citrix? etc?
Bellsouth hasn't told me yes or no yet. They haven't even told me if you could use ADSL on one end and connect to another office that has a T1 or cable or ISDN. Does anyone know? or can you reccomend a good resource? www.adsl.com adresses almost everything but that issue. Argh! please help!

How remote are they? Same town, state, Country? If both offices qualify for DSL, yes, 99% of the time you can do vpn. VPN is pretty robust. all that matters is that you have an active internet connection on the client side, and a gateway/proxy/firewall (on a static IP) to connect through on the host side. VPN solutions vary greatly with what PGP provider you choose. We are currently using NAI, which has been a bit of a learning process, but now that it is up, the VPN is really easy to do. (We even use netzero for some of our offices, DSL for others, cable for others) For reading up on VPN, go to http://www.nai.com and look under PGP Security. How big are these offices? You coulb be looking at a big expense to do the VPN. But then again, most ways would be expensive.

Thats the pisser. We won't have static IP's from our ADSL carrier here till March. I don't think there's a way around that. Grrrr!Giving up a static IP provided by cable is not realistic for most small business' no matter how close to an ef'ing CO they are. I can't even get an answer about Linux support....I'm just trying to realistic about the options I can give my clients.
BTW since the IP is dynamic, the connection can't be "always-on" it'd have to lease an IP addy first, then allow you to navigate correct?
