HP Keyboard Drivers
After purchasing a new cordless desktop package from Logitech ( :p ) I decicded to connect my "old" HP multimedia keyboard to my old machine (233mhz 128mb ram...).
All I want to know is where I can download some drivers that will enable the multimedia keys to work. I do have a HP Restore CD but I cannot just find the drivers on it because everything is a PKZip archive!!!

Try one of <a href="http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/cposupport/ccsearch/displayans?qry=multimedia%20keyboard%20drivers" target="_blank">these...</a>
Also, read up on <a href="http://www.hp.com/cposupport/personal_computing/support_doc/bph06596.html" target="_blank">Identifying, Using, and Troubleshooting HP Keyboards</a>. It should help you decide on which driver to download.
Good Luck!

Go to the hp download page. Don't use the product type seach, use the link that says "search". Use the box that says enter your support question or search words. Type in multimedia keyboard. When you get to the download page you will need the keyboard model number. Look on the bottom of the keyboard. You will see a number like 5185. this is the model number.

Hello Windowscrash and Everyone else, First try the HP site "www.hp.com" and if they are not supporting your keyboard anymore then go to: "www.netropa.com" this is the company that you need to contact, as they make many of the keyboard drivers for many of the manufacturers, take a look at there site and if you don't see what you need they have a support link on the page where you can send them an e-mail (reply took about three days, they send you a password and logon, I just received drivers for an HP machine, as I needed them to run the factory keyboard (HP6470Z and XP Pro and HP is not going to support XP drivers on this older machine. Good Luck! PSJ
