What to do...
I have a dual 1ghz box, with 1gb of memory, and seti running on it 24/7 doesn't seem to justify running it 24/7 worthwhile.
Is there a "distributed computing" program that takes cpu time and uses memory?
AMI MegaRAID express 200 (Ultra-2/64MB Cache/32bit PCI)
5) 9.1GB Quantum Ultra-2 drives, 4 in raid 5 (data), 1 in non-raid (for OS)
I want something that will push this server hard, make it scream for mercy. I can't do hosting since Cox sucks, (Cox suckers), so my options are somewhat limited.
Once Neverwinter Nights comes out, this box will be running it full time, hopefully Cox won't block that port...
anyhow, ideas will be appreciated

I dunno... play.. Diablo II or something...

Um no. Using the processor is the whole point of distributed processing.

DSLR.COM has several distributed computer clubs that you could join.
Too bad you can't host, another UT sever would be nice.

This kinda qualifies as SETI, but for a better use:
I think I found the link off the Windrivers main page the other day, but there's a distributed computing thing for trying to find a cure for anthrax. It looked interesting, but I don't remember the address to it.

Here you go. It was doing anthrax but I think it is back to only working on cancer (a equally noble cause).
