How do u make a cd rom bootable??
Making a bootable CD depends on what CD Writing software you use. I use Easy CD Creator and it has an option under the Data settings Tab of the CD Properties where you can change the CD file system. Bootable CD's can not be in the Joliet file system, they need to be in ISO9660. From here you need to have a bootable floppy disk which has all the necessary files etc on it. CD creator then uses this to create a bootable CD with the same files etc. You will probably have to play around with the software you are using. Hope this helps.
cd rom drive or disk? As mentioned before, making the actual cd bootable can probably be done with your burning software (I think it makes a small "sysed" partition to boot from.) Making the drive bootable is done in the bios. The drive, cd, and bios all have to support booting from the cd rom. In Award bios it's under "bios features" - hope this helps!
Nero 6 will do this as well!
Nero 3- dude he's using Roxio!
And front page of Windrivers!
How on earth did you stumble across a 5 year old post? And how the hell did it make front page?? :thumbs2:  :thumbs2:
