can adobe files in photoshop and pagemaker written on a mac, be opened on a pc running adobe? a customer has a bunch of photoshop files written on a mac and wants to buy a pc if she can use her old files. if not is there a program that will conver them?

Adobe files are universal like that. Adobe doesn't care if a PC or Mac made the file, it'll open it. However you may have trouble getting the files over to the PC as Macs format their disks differntly. Burning it to a CD will work as that format is a standard. Otherwise you might need PC Clone software on the Mac.

Good thing Macs read PC formatted disks, otherwise you would need MacOpener 2000 or MacDrive to read Mac disks on PCs

As Rellik said, use a PC formatted floppy. You can use a PC formatted ZIP too. Or if the customer doesn't need the individual layers, you can just flatten the image and save as .jpg, .bmp or .gif. If you need to keep them as Photoshop files, make sure that the version of Adobe you are using on the PC is equal or greater than that you are using on the Mac or you might lose some of the special features not found in an older version.
