WOrking for a company that is a reseller, i have an oppurtunity with a deal thru AMD to buy the following parts for $199.00 US!
Asus A7V266 MB
AMD XP 1700+
256 DDR MEMORY
HEATSINK/FAN
Will this work with an ATI- AIW Radeon video card?
I currently am running the video card in a Gigabyte 7ixe with no issues (slotA 700)
Please post if you have info- i need to make a purchase decision by the end of the day

Shouldn't be an issue as far as I know. I haven't heard of any incompatabilities with the Athlon and the ATI cards, but I don't have any hands-on experience with a rig like that.
you shouldn't have a problem. it should work great, just make sure to get the newest drivers for the ati card.
Even if problems do arise and you can't find a work around, I would expect you could easily get more than your investment back on those items. Right now on pricewatch:
RAM- $52(+10 shipping)
CPU- $114(+10 shipping)
MB- $125(+10 shipping)
HS/Fan- $15(+6 shipping)
Total: $342
