I've got an IBM Aptiva E26 sitting on my bench with what appears to be an ATX power supply, but with AT connectors to the motherboard. The power switch goes to the motherboard. And in the case, a label reads IDATX, so I am pretty sure it's ATX, but I haven't seen one with the AT connectors before. Without going to IBM, which would be a joke, does anyone have some light on this subject. I do have to replace the board so I need to get a compatible one.

I've only ever seen those power supplies on ibq, packaged hell, and other proprietary stuff like that. The supply is probably atx, but the connectors are at. Don't know of any mobos that work like that other than one you would have to get from ibm
Yup, it's an ATX. Some more of their proprietary crap. The last time I had to replace one, it ran about $70. A new MB from IBM is $300 +
If the switch on the case will work, I'll replace both with standard ATX.

I recently had to call the IBM parts department to check on a price of a power supply. It was a similar model to yours with AT connectors, but a plug for the mainboard. Basically a basteredized AT/ATX power supply. Altough the IBM rep was very helpful, (wonders do happen) he quotes me a price of $160. I responded with "How many do I get for $160" and basically he responded with "I understand".
If customers would just simply understand that these corporate built machines are garbage and cost more in the long run, we would have a better chance of selling the customs.
I ran into a similiar problem with an ACER.
It was indeed an ATX supply... but with AT connectors, and an extra wire running to the MB for the power switch.
You can put a standart AT power supply in the computer and it will work, you just have to change the switch as well and dont worry about the extra wire cause that is what makes it ATX.

I replaced the mobo with an ASUS P5-99VM, the power supply with a standard 250w ATX, had to customize an I/O template. IBM's board had the USB on the end instead of the key/mouse. Everything works.
