udma33/66 question
i could use a few opinions concerning udma33 and udma66 with W2K pro
here's the deal i have a MB (tyon s1590) that supports udma 33 but not 66
i have a maxtor 20 gig HD that is udma66
i'm running W2K sp1 and if i understand it right by default it loads the udma33 drivers not the 66
so the question is what kind of setup is best for this configuration?
should i leave the w2k udma33 drivers or install the 66 instead?
and what about the bios should udma be enable or disabled, if i enable should the type be set to 3 or 4 (both of which the MB supports)
bottom line is i'm trying to get everything to place nice and would like to hear what the rest of you are doing.
later.......

Leave the board and win2k alone. visit http://www.maxtor.com/technology/technotes/21009.html and use the utility to make your drive udma33. you can always flash the drive back to udma66 if needed later with the same utility.
