Exchange 5.5 message

I am recieving the following message in the NT event log:

Description: Mesasage <> with subject 'ORT XXX.XXX.XX.XXX 7' from '[email protected]' exceeded the maximum hop count(80040C02-82000008C). The archive file name is N4A2WFC6.

Any ideas how to clear this message?

XXX.XXX.XX.XXX = mail server IP address - removed to protect privacy of mail server owner.

Sounds like it's bouncing the mail between a lot of servers, or the same one multiple times. It might be a config issue on either side of the system, probably in the Exchange setup of the server owner of yours. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely experienced with this, so I can't give you more than just this clue...
