Here's a good one!

Ok, I have a customer going from a lantastic network to a Microsoft peer to peer network... Workstations are all running 95. They have a DOS app that needs to run from E: drive... But the person who runs it localy needs to access it from E: drive... Now my question is, is there a way to map a drive to your local drive through the network? Every attempt I have made has failed... Or is there a way to force a secondary drive to be a certain drive letter? Any other suggestions would be of great help also.

The win95 comes with some of the old DOS commands on the cd if the SUBST command is there it may do what you want.

Not sure if this is what your looking for but, in a dos window you can use "net use e: \\computername\sharename" with out the quotes. This would map e: to a share, it could be either a drive or a folder that is shared on the local or remote computer. This would only work if they were running the dos app through a windows dos box. Hope this helps
