PM's

Hi guys

everytime I get a PM...I get notification by email, and that's fine. And I can respond, but once I do that it doesn't post in my profile and when I click on the email link to the PM it tells me that the post was not intended for me???

PM's are not email. They are single messages with add-on capabilities. When you reply to a PM you are adding to a single message and sending it on to another therefore it is no longer your message to read.

I think what you are doing is trying to respond to the automated mailer that notifies you via email that you have a private message waiting. If you want to respond, delete, compose private messages, you have to do that here on the UBB.

no guys I understand all that. What I'm trying to say is that in the email notification there is usually a link back to the post. It doesn't work, it just tells me the post is not intended for me. Also, none of the PM's are showing up in my profile at all. I'm not even sure if my responses are getting back to the intended parties. I can post a response but afterward it's like the PM disappeared.
It was working fine for me up until about a week ago, maybe not even that long.

I have to add, even if I go to my profile on the UBB the PMs are not there. And I haven't cleared them. They are not that numerous, at most I have had 5 at one time in my profile.

And that's exactly what I said. Once you reply to a PM it is gone. The only way you can see it again is if the other party replies back to you. Then you will get another email notification and ONE message with all comments from both of you WILL show up in your profile until you reply or delete the message. The link you receive through email notification will work UNTIL you reply. Only PM's you have NOT replied to show up in your profile page.
