Bur only if I know that part or all of the proceeds would go to Scott.

That wouldn't happen. Scott doesn't own the rights to the site....

Best guess?? Something along the lines of a cost/benefit curve I would presume. In order to do this they would have to pay for the blank stock, the silkscreening, someone to handle purchasing, someone to receive/process orders, someone to handle shipping (probably a biggie--they wouldn't have anything related at present beyond their mail room)...
Basically, companies that do this do it as a loss leader to bring in new business. Since Internet.com is strictly an on-line entity both in presence and product, it would make far more sense for them to spend their advertising dollars on-line where 100% of those who see the ads are potential customers versus a significantly lower percentage of those who might see you wearing the shirt actually becoming customers.
Anyway, I hadn't really considered this before...these are just some quick-reflex thoughts....
So I'm guessing that Scott is no longer receiving direct dividends from his deal with Internet.com.
There is a site up at http://www.99dogs.com where you can make your own shirts with logos for about $17. I use it all the time. Is it legal to print another persons logo/brand name if you are not selling the shirts. I could create one heck of a logo or two and post them if someone like Scott or a Mod says OK.
only scott or internet.com can say yea or nay (mainly internet.com i believe). Us mods are not employed by internet.com or windrivers in anyway shape or form. we are merely regular members like you who got noticed by scott or another mod and were invited to help bring order to the chaos that can sometimes show up on the forum.
Yeah, I know that. I just meant that I wouldn't post anything until someone who is on the inside with Scott says go. :) :) :)
Most companies are VERY protective of their corporate identities and trademarks even to the extent that they don't often approve of others using or displaying their name/logo's in such a manner that would provide free advertising.

I have seen so many artistic people posting here.
Come up with your own.
register it somewhere.
If you build it, they will come.

You're probably right and someone will say that they do not want this just as a knee jerk reaction but who knows. I'm not giving up hope yet.

Yeah, but if it copies the WD name, which is what everyone wants, I'm not sure if it's legal. Of course parody is legal and we could do something like that but why would we want to? Anyone know a copyright lawyer up here? I think I'll wait for what Scott says before I do anything.
