[RESOLVED] possible case mod....

Sometime in the future, I'm thinking I would like to start working on a mod for my next computer case. I've never modded a case before, but I'd be extremely patient while doing it to make sure it's done correctly. Here's a couple of drawings of ideas I have for a case mod.

The white and grey areas are cuts in the side. The blue letters would be all that's left.

On this one the black areas are the cutouts and the blue and grey areas are what's left. This one would have to be painted to show the difference in the lettering and the leftover side.

I won't be started this anytime soon; I was just wanting opinions.

Letters are a great idea, but it involves alot of cutting.....and by your descriptions you would be better off cutting out the letters, not around the letters, it would look much, much better. Also, make sure to leave enough space around cut-outs so that you have a space to adhere the plexi if you choose to you it. Most importantly, you should make a template that you draw directly on the case, lightly in pencil, so that you can catch mistakes, and make sure you like what you see. Good luck!

Thanks.... I was wondering if it would be better to cut out the letters or cut around them. Cutting them out would mean that I wouldn't have to worry about linking some of the letters together.

Exactly, by cutting just the letters out, you give it the case a cleaner look!
