Can honestly say i've never used that particular board but I can say that every Asus board I have ever worked with has been Beautiful I always recomend ASUS.

I agree the ASUS A7M is an excellent motherboard but I don't think it supports the 1.4ghz processor. I think the 1.33ghz processor is the maximum for this board.
If I were you I would go here and check for yourself before ordering any motherboard:

i like the abit kt7a-raid board. they are really cheap now (129) or you can get the non raid version for about 109. great overclocking board. for a little cheaper, you can get the iwill KK266 or the KK266R (non raid/raid). iwill overclocks better than the kt7a, but i like the kt7a's features (softmenu). the layout of the boards are about 80% identical. the chipset is the same too, KT133A. the abit has a fan on the northbridge, as the KK266R just has a heatsink (greenie)
The above abit boards do not support DDR. Quote:

I have an Iwill KA266-R and it smokes. Maybe not the best on the planet, but it is rock solid and fastfastfast
I'm running the asus A7M266 with a 1333 cpu and it rocks. Sandra does not rate the ddr memory highly though. I'm hoping this is a driver issue which will be sorted with the next amd driver issue. I'l keep my fingers crossed.
Anything Abit is a good choice
i have an a7a266, with a 1.33
it will support the 1.4 although i think u may need a bios update, not sure tho cause i dun have 1.4
I-Will KK266-R
OverClockers.co.uk rave about the I-WILL. One of there team has got a 1GHz Thunderbird runnig at 1615MHz (9.5X170) on this board.
