New burner questions
Ok, so I'm going to buy a new Burner today. I know I'm either going to get a Plextor or a TDK, and I want to get the top-of-the line burner. But my question, is that I've herd of some issues with burners that were over a 16x write. Has anyone herd of any such issues? Should I make sure to limit the speed of the burner I choose, or will I be ok buying the fastest burner out there.
BTW, if you don't already know, I'm running Win XP on an Athlon 1.2 with 512Ram and I'll probably be using mostly Nero, and possibly Roxio a bit of the time.

If you want the best, get a Plextor. The 24x one really rocks and I haven't heard/seen any kind of problems with it yet.
Good luck!

what about the high speed yamaha drive? the audio matering technology is damn nice for audio cds - they sound almost as good as pressed cds.

Alright, well I bought the top-of-the line Plextor, and am absolutly loving it. It's scary, because the drive is faster then the capabilitys of the cd's. I also got a pack of those Black cd-r's Has anyone used these yet? They supposadly last a lot longer, and are more scratch resistant. Well, they look cool anyways.... :D :D

I use Maxell and PNY black and color CDRs and outside the color, I've seen no difference. No coasters and no probs with any reader(yet).
