yes. There is an option to "Install while leaving current file structure intact."
I'd format though unles you ABSOLUTLY need the data.. you just get bogged down with useless files.
I agree with Matridom...backup all your data files, FDISK the sucker, and reinstall W2K on a clean drive. I've done it both ways and always ended up reinstalling W2K anyway... :)
shouldnt have a problem with it as long as you don't fdisk and format the drive. just do a reinstall or try a reapair
