In windows 98 you can type in 'winipcfg' and find out ip address...i know someone here knows how to find your ip address using windows2k pro ...don't ya?? ;) ...gotta be simple but i'm lazy please help.

Start, run, CMD, enter. At the prompt type IPCONFIG , or IPCONFIG /ALL . With the /all switch you may require the |more to pause the screen. This works in NT4 as well.
