Hi There!
As all of you know, in Windows 98 you had the MsConfig utility that alloewd you to select and unselect the apps at the start up.
What's the way to do this in Win2k??
Note.
Not all the programs run as service.

Go to the dos prompt and enter ipconfig
You are tired of being always right?? Well, this time you are WRONG
Ipconfig is for IP Configuration! It has nothing to do with apps at windows startup
I was hoping someone else would chime in by now...I understand that if you just copy the executable from a win98 system, it works just fine in 2k (there is an error when it tries to read autoexec.bat as I recall others saying, but it can be overlooked). Never tried it myself, I like checking the run keys in the registry.
There are some freeware programs out there, try doing a search on the forum for MSCONFIG, i am sure you will find all of the old posts, and links to the freeware.
THE best little startup manager I've found is simply called startup control panel, works on 95/98/2000 and DOESN'T need to be installed, just runs from 1 single file (so you can run it from CD)
