HI, I wanted to delete lots of useless files in win2k pro (ie Welcome.exe, Out look express etc...) but windows deny my action. I then delete individual file by file but then windows immediately reproduce it in front of my face.
Does anyone konw how to delete these bullet-proof files?

I'm just now getting myself properly acquainted with Win2000 (public sector https://forums.windrivers.com/ , so I'm wondering if this may be a Micro$oft Feature (TM)?

The problem is that Win2K's security will automatically detect missing files and it will recreate 'hem. That doesn't ALWAYS apply, and when it doesn't....guess what? Buel Screen!! https://forums.windrivers.com/

Yep, I'm deleting those files as Administrator..
So I can't delete those files then? Crap!

I'm still struggling with the fact that Outlook files would be considered part of this load of "protected" files.
Could you install another version of Outlook and uninstall it afterwards - once you have tried to delete them again?

You need to disable windows file protection to delete those protected files. Disable at your own risk.
