Okay I have a customer that has a CD tower with 8 scsi cdroms in it. He wants to serve these cdroms to clients but has no clue how to do it and frankly neither do I. Is this even possible to do? The version of Netware now is 3.2.
I have no clue why he is trying to do this, it seems to me that in this day and age when storage is fairly cheap you would use another solution besides cd towers.

You can use Novell's CDROM.NLM. You have to load it with the following syntax from the System Console. Here is a link in regard to this.

You have to load the HAM drivers, then CDROM.NLM, then use the command CD MOUNT ALL. Then the CD shows up as a Netware volume with the CD volume name as the Netware volume name. From there you can map that volume to a drive letter, and your users can access it from there. Keep in mind that using the CD in this way can bog down your server, so keep an eye on it. If you have a need for several shared CD's, you could setup a dedicated Netware server to host them all.
