Problem with NEC CDR273
Have installed driver(tried a few different ones) in config autoexec. The CD light comes on then get message drive not found aborting installation. My cmos settings has no secondary drive options. Have tried setting cd as both slave from hdd and primary from sound card. Computer had not been used for a while and came to me with flat battery. Replaced battery, upgraded hdd and ram cmos had no problem recognising these. Installed DOS 6.1 and WFWG also with no problems. Has anyone any ideas how to get the cd working?

Suggest you remove all existing drivers for the cdr, attach it to your Reveal sound card - is it Reveal?
Then look here http://ellingson.com/reveal/products...r273/index.htm
If its not the reveal soundcard, then find the correct driver set for sound card/cdrom and install the sound card drivers FIRST. Then install the cdrom and all should be well.
