Okay, I'm not sure what to make of this any more. I have a machine that is running ME. When I run word 2000 is always comes up with an error about not enough system resouces. I Stopped all the un need programs that were running in the backround and added another stick of 128MB. I could have 10 programs open at once, but only Word cause this error. The HD has enough swap space and has abour 13 GB free out of 20. Please Help.....
Could be a damaged template. Close word or any program that may use word,Do a find->Normal.dot and rename normal.dot to normal.old (i never just delete).
Try to restart Word again and see if that clears it up.

Wyckyd1 is probably correct - corrupted template. One way to verify whether a template is causing problems is to start Word without the add-ins and see if the problem persists. This can be done by starting word with the “ /a” switch. Start >>> run >>> type winword.exe /a .
If renaming the Normal.dot template doesn’t solve your problem, try removing any files that may reside in Word’s startup path / folder.
