Hi I have a scsi writer and scsi reader first time I have had a scsi and there are mor jumpers than an ide could anybody tell me the jumper settings for both of these cds, many thanks

With SCSI you have to assign a seperate ID for each device. The card is normally set to 7 and the Jumpers on the back are normally set as 0,1,2,3 . To assign teh ID's for the drives you need to cover the combination of nu,bers that make up the device ID that you require, i.e. cover jumpers 1+3 would give Device ID of 4, 3+2+1 would give ID 6, etc. Also remember to terminate the very last device on the chain (noramlly the highest device ID on teh cable except teh card).

On the drive with the highest SCSI ID, you will see a jumper marked as 'Term' normally (you may need to download the jumper layout from the manufacturers website for each device). This 'Term' jmumper pins needs to be capped on the highest ID drive or the SCSI chain wil not work.
