We have an old IBM network printer 17 and have replaced the fuser (after getting half dark pages on prints) and still getting an error 50 which means that the fuser is overheating. Any suggestions before we call the technician?

Is this fuser the right one?
Did you disconnect anything and forget to plug it back it?

Hi,
I'm not that familiar with IBM's lasers but with HP's, you must power off the printer from 10 to 20 minutes for the error to clear itself; even after replacing the fuser assy. Also the power supply feeding the fuser assy could be bad/low.
Just a couple of ideas...
Good Luck!
